FusionPoint Solution for Worsley Operating Corporation with TNS

Background

Based in Wilmington, NC, Worsley is a convenience store chain with 210 stores throughout North and South Carolina. In 2006, its stores changed from dial-up to IP communications for their ATM and POS terminals by utilizing the TNS FusionPoint solution.

Business Challenge

Worsley Operating Corporation needed to extend its broadband network to cover the Lil Cricket convenience store brand it acquired earlier this year. They wanted to reduce costs at the store sites by eliminating phone lines and consolidating all transactions on a single broadband connection. It was important to keep their legacy devices and take advantage of processing IP transactions, while achieving consistency throughout the Lil Cricket stores, as they had in the Worsley sites.

Solution

Worsley uses FusionPoint, a complete, end-to-end managed service offered by TNS, to simplify its communications infrastructure for debit and credit card transactions, fuel tank monitoring and a variety of back office applications. The solution will now be used in the 88 newly acquired Lil Cricket stores across South Carolina.
