Key Senior Appointment Strengthens TNS Mainland Europe Payments Team
Experienced payments industry innovator Martin Croot has joined Transaction Network Services’ Payments Division as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Mainland Europe.
Mr Croot is to be based in Berlin and is responsible for leading TNS’ established teams in France, Spain, Italy, Germany and Romania.
Mr Croot joins TNS from a senior business development post at Wincor Nixdorf. He has also occupied senior roles with Hypercom, Flexicom and VeriFone.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Croot said: “I’m really excited about joining TNS. I have interacted with them a number of times in the past so I know all about their commitment to delivering a wide selection of best-in-class products, backed up by a range of excellent value-added services.

With dual British and Canadian citizenship, Mr Croot relocated to Mainland Europe more than 20 years ago and specialises in all aspects of payments, including wireless, smart cards, point-of-sale, acquiring, processing, mobile and ecommerce.

In addition, Martin is fluent in three languages and is very familiar with the European markets we’re targeting.”
Mr Croot has a Master of Business Administration degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology as part of the Sloan’s Fellows program, a master’s degree in management and international trade from Ecole Superieure des Sciences Commerciales (ESSCA) in France and an honours degree in political science from the University of Toronto, Canada.
