Wink's Warriors Walking in Memory
For the 4th straight year, the Wink’s Warriors walked in memory of a friend and former colleague, who lost his battle to cancer in May of 2008.
This year they participated in the 2011 Relay for Life of Western Loudoun in Leesburg, VA, USA. Each team set up themed camps, with the Wink’s Warriors’ theme being WINK’S CARNIVAL which was filled with fun games and prizes which earned them third place for Best Campsite.
Wink’s Warriors exceeded their goal and raised $14,031, including TNS’ donation, making them the #3 fund raising team contributing to the astonishing total of $225,448.37. For 2012, their 5th year, they’ve set the high goal of beating their 1st year efforts and raising $35,000!
